What is Mobile Massage Therapy?

Mobile massage therapy is a massage treatment that is done in the comfort of your home. Our goal is to ensure that the mobile massage therapy delivers the same great benefits and comfort as our massage rooms. The goal is to make you healthier and help reduce or prevent pain without the need to leave your home. It involves assessment and treatment of the soft tissue and joints of the body. By manipulating soft tissues and joints, the massage therapist helps your body recover and reduce pain.

What can Massage Therapy Treat?

Massage therapy can be used to treat a range of acute and chronic conditions and injuries. Some common issues are chronic back pain, injury rehabilitation and disability.

Massage therapy can also be used to treat posture and help your body stay healthy by treating smaller issues before they develop further.

Direct Billing

Massage therapy can only be performed by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). Although RMTs are primary health care providers in Ontario, massage therapy services are not covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).

However, many health benefits plans cover all or a portion of massage therapy costs. For your convenience, we are happy to be able to offer direct billing for most insurance providers.

How to Prepare for Mobile Massage Theapy Appointment?

For your mobile massage appointment please ensure that you have a clear area of about 8 by 6 feet available. Our massage therapist will bring with them a specialized massage table on which the treatment will take place.

Our massage therapist will bring all the necessary bedding and equipment to set-up the table and prepare everything for the massage. The set-up process takes about 10 minutes. If possible, we ask that you have a wash area available where our massage therapist may wash their hands.

What to Expect from your First Appointment?

Our massage therapist will review your health history and assess your needs and concerns. Together with you, the massage therapist will discuss and decide on the best treatment options with you.

You have no obligation to undergo any part of the treatment that would make you any way uncomfortable. Our massage therapist will let you know what the treatment would involve and begin only after you have given your informed consent.

After the massage session, the massage therapist will discuss possible responses to the treatment and may suggest exercises or strategies to help you with you treatment goals.
